What if I don’t meet your minimum academic criteria – can I still apply?
Yes, in some circumstances!
We appreciate that some people do not meet our minimum academic criteria for a number of reasons, especially the UCAS requirements. There may be several reasons:
·You are a mature student.
·You did an Access Course to gain entry to University.
·There are exceptional reasons why you did not get the grades you expected.
If this is you we still want to hear from you.
Instructions for informing us of your circumstances:
It is important that you let us know of your circumstances. You will need to start the application process and when you get to Section Two of the application form you will have to complete a section called Our Minimum Criteria. To ensure that we are able to review your case you must select "yes" in the final box of this section where it asks if you have extenuating circumstances and then write your explanation in the text box available.
We will consider each case on merit. If we feel that you have a strong case we will ask you to continue with your application.
Please be aware that should you get to the assessment centre stage, we will ask for proof of the information contained in your application. This may be a letter from your head teacher or college principle, a doctor’s certificate or relevant course certificates.
