Senior Client Service Officer
What does your job involve?
I am responsible for handling incoming telephone enquiries from clients world-wide. This can include a range of queries balance enquiries and making payments. Being part of the ‘Coutts 24’ team means that my team operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year which inevitably creates lots of flexibility about the hours that people work and responding to clients who are in many different countries, across different time zones, means we are never short of things to do whatever the time of day or night.
I also have a number of additional duties including conducting call assessments for my team and attending our daily management meeting.
What do you like about working for Coutts?
Having worked in another financial services organisation prior to joining Coutts, I am surprised about the strong sense of teamwork that exists at Coutts. Everyone is always busy, but regardless of what is happening within the business, people have a positive attitude and are happy to spend time helping their colleagues, rather than focussing on targets at the expense of the rest of the team. When I first joined Coutts 2 years ago, I found it daunting to join a Private Bank. However, as soon as I started, I realised that it was just a new team, and everyone is human! I’ve found the managers here really supportive and actively helping to move people on in their career. I was promoted after just 18 months which was the fast career progression that I was looking for.
